About

Hi, I am Jennifer Simon Halai. I have had a varied background: a history major with religious studies minor at Hiram College, Peace Corps Volunteer in Turkmenistan, 2 years at Case Western Reserve University Law Library in Cleveland. I earned my Master of Science in Information in 2008 from The University of Michigan School of Information. During graduate school  I was a Research Assistant at ICPSR, and also completed a summer internship at Zayed University Library in Dubai. After nearly 7 years as a reference and technology librarian, I made the move to international librarianship, serving as the first Digital Librarian at Worldreader. At Worldreader, I led a massive metadata enhancement project and digital reading workshops for librarians around the world.
